Audinga Besuspare joins Key Carbon’s senior leadership team

Key Carbon is pleased to welcome Audinga Besuspare, an institutional investment executive with experience in soil carbon project development, as president during an important period of growth for the company as well as carbon markets.

Audinga comes to Key Carbon after more than a decade working in private equity in London. She was senior director at PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers, where she co-led the European direct private equity team and sat on the private equity investment committee. Prior to this she worked at Permira.

Last year she was Executive in Residence at InSoil, a Key Carbon portfolio company focused on sustainable agriculture and soil carbon project development.

Audinga will work with CEO Luke Leslie on a range of commercial priorities, focusing on strategy, operations, and business development.

“I look forward to bringing a combination of institutional investment discipline and operating expertise to Key Carbon as we continue to scale the platform,” Audinga said.

Key Carbon is set to capitalise this year on its carbon project investments in:

  • InSoil, a European soil carbon project developer
  • Global Cookstoves, a joint venture with African clean cooking developer BURN
  • Worldview International, an NGO restoring coastal mangrove forests in Asia.

These partnerships are starting to generate millions of high-quality credits in a market characterised by new, regulation-linked demand — and an undersupply of the types of credits that Key Carbon is now selling.

The company is growing along with its sales. Several new team members will join this year in Dubai, where Audinga will also be based.

“Key Carbon is strategically positioned within the carbon ecosystem,” Audinga said. “Through its model of providing upfront capital in exchange for future credit streams, it has broad visibility across regulatory developments, structural market trends, and developer quality across project types and geographies. That vantage point enables the team to identify the most compelling themes and partner with the strongest developers — a structured, top-down approach that represents a clear competitive advantage in today’s market.”
